Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos is PRO LIFE Candidate for US Senate

Recently I attended a community forum at which Florida Senate President Mike Haridopolos was the featured speaker. He spoke about his goals as the leader of the Florida Senate to get Florida back to work. He also addressed his plans to run against US Senator Bill Nelson. I asked Senator Haridopolos where he stood on the right to life. Senator Haridopolos responded with a pretty forceful explanation as to his strong PRO LIFE position. By comparison, Senator Bill Nelson, is firmly in the PRO ABORTION camp, having “earned” a 100% rating from the radical pro abortion group, NARAL Pro-Choice America. [1. Here is my advice to everyone in the PRO LIFE movement: Always ask your elected officials where they stand on the RIGHT TO LIFE, every chance you get. This serves several purposes:

  1. If the person is PRO ABORTION, their response helps you determine who to NOT VOTE for;
  2. If the person is PRO LIFE, your question confirms to him/her that PRO LIFE VOTERS are active and concerned;
  3. If the person avoids taking a position, you can safely assume they will not take a position when it counts–that is, when it is time to stand up for life!

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday — January 23, 2011

babyHow can you get your community more involved in defending the sanctity of human life? Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on January 23, 2011 is your perfect opportunity.

Since 1983, Americans have observed Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) as a day to celebrate the intrinsic value of all human life. This important day also provides an opportunity for pregnancy centers to share about the work they do to bring life-affirming resources to their communities and to empower women and men to choose life for their unborn children.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is held on the Sunday in January that falls closest to the day on which the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions were handed down by the U.S. Supreme Court on January 22, 1973. The next SOHLS will take place on January 23, 2011. How can you be involved?

Are you PRO-LIFE? Walk for Life on Oct. 16th

Are you “pro-life?” How do you know? How would anyone else know?

Here’s one good test, from the words of Jesus Christ:

[19] “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, [20] but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. [21] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
— Matthew 6:19-21

If your heart is pro-life, please put a bit of your treasure with HOPE Women’s Centers.
