{"id":1814,"date":"2010-05-18T09:06:08","date_gmt":"2010-05-18T14:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/k-line.org\/9\/?p=1814"},"modified":"2010-05-18T09:06:08","modified_gmt":"2010-05-18T14:06:08","slug":"new-political-action-committee-florida-family-action-pac","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/k-line.org\/9\/2010\/05\/18\/new-political-action-committee-florida-family-action-pac\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE:  Florida Family Action PAC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ag-colorbox info\"><p>FLORIDA CONSERVATIVE LEADER ANNOUNCES FORMATION OF A NEW PRO-LIFE, PRO-FAMILY POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE<\/p><\/div><p><strong>For Immediate Release:<br \/>\nMay 17, 2010<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Orlando, FL) After the conclusion of the Annual Policy Awards Dinner of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flfamily.org\/\">Florida Family Policy Council<\/a>, on Saturday, May 15, 2010, John Stemberger, President of the Florida Family Action organization, announced the formation and organization of a state political action committee called \u201cFlorida Family Action PAC\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Florida Family Action PAC (FFA-PAC) will be a membership organization and is being set up as a \u201cCommittee for Continuing Existence\u201d under Florida law.   The FFA-PAC will exist to selectively recruit, endorse, and support candidates for state public office.  <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Mark Montini of Campaign Secrets in Atlanta will conduct exclusive candidate trainings under the banner of FFA-PAC.  Mark is considered one of America\u2019s leading political consultants and has taught campaign schools for the Republican Party of Florida for many years.<\/p>\n<p>John Stemberger, President of the new FFA-PAC, released the following statement:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The time has come for us to more fully engage the process of policy making from beginning to end.  Organizations which simply educate and lobby constituents and elected officials are not as fully equipped to influence the decision making of lawmakers because they cannot directly engage in elections.  <\/p>\n<p>We will recruit home grown candidates from within our communities. We will train, help finance, and equip them with the tools to win elections.  We are not looking for people who simply claim they will \u201cvote right\u201d when elected.  The PAC will seek out and support viable champions and leaders who support life, marriage, family and religious liberty issues.  <\/p>\n<p>The first duty of public officials should not be to simply follow \u201cleadership\u201d to avoid being stripped of power, perks or pork.  Their first duty ought to be to their God, to principle and to their constituents.
