God&#8217;s rule with the Midianites was to take (almost) no prisoners.  Literally.  God did not want the Israelites to be corrupted by the sinful influence of the Midianites.  Yet Jesus made a point of dining with sinners, because they needed to hear his word.  What&#8217;s going on here?
