Hope Fundraising Banquet

Hope Women’s Centers1 of Broward County again hosted one of the largest such pro-life fund raising functions in the nation. Over a thousand people packed the Signature Grand, in Davie. It always strikes me as odd that over a thousand people gathering to raise funds2 merits exactly zero mention from the mainstream media. Yet three guys with some signs can usually manage to get mention on the six o’clock news for some other cause. Scott Klusendorf was our keynote speaker. Mr. Klusendorf is the author of several important books, most recently “The Case for Life : Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture.” He reviewed many of the pro-life arguments as our country faces an increasingly hostile political environment.

National Day of Prayer 2010

Davie Prayer Breakfast is Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 7:00 a.m.

The 59th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 6, 2010. Millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events from coast to coast. The theme for this year is “Prayer for Such a Time as This” and is based on the verse from Nahum 1:7 which states:

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.

In southwest Broward County we will meet for breakfast and prayer at the Signature Grand, in Davie. Speakers and prayer leaders include Dr. Bob Barnes, Tom Truex, Pastor Pete Tokar, Pastor Keith Spencer, Pastor Darrell Stuehrenberg, Jim Kleinrichert, and others.1 Continue reading “National Day of Prayer 2010”
