Hope Fundraising Banquet

Hope Women’s Centers¹ of Broward County again hosted one of the largest such pro-life fund raising functions in the nation. Over a thousand people packed the Signature Grand, in Davie. It always strikes me as odd that over a thousand people gathering to raise funds² merits exactly zero mention from the mainstream media. Yet three guys with some signs can usually manage to get mention on the six o’clock news for some other cause. Scott Klusendorf was our keynote speaker. Mr. Klusendorf is the author of several important books, most recently “The Case for Life : Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture.” He reviewed many of the pro-life arguments as our country faces an increasingly hostile political environment.

As is customary at HOPE banquets, some of the people whose lives have been rescued appeared on stage as well. This included men and women who had made the important decision for life; and some of the babies and young children, whose lives were created by God, and delivered with the prayers and counseling of Hope Women’s Centers.
